Spring Forward, Fall Behind

So, maybe a little late for fall, but this bag is full of summer color too.

Overall, this was a good weekend.  I didn’t get all the fabric cuts done that I wanted to, but I did have time to play around with this design today and am really happy with the way it turned out.  The main panel is a great natural cotton fern print I picked up on a trip to San Francisco.  The bottom panel is a natural heavy weight cotton with a 100% lambswool reclaimed tie.  The other part of the tie was used in an earlier tote for it’s strap.  The interior panel and exterior pocket is a bright orange cotton canvas I like to call Dahlia Orange, it reminds me of the vibrant fiery flower. The handle is a reclaimed fashion belt using hardware from a different belt to match the magnetic snap closures and keychain.  I love how this all came together.   It’s a bit larger than the Stephanie Tote and there are three interior pockets made out of one larger pocket panel.

Oh my god this is so cute! You know how I LOVE red and orange tones. This is totally versatile for summer too with the black and white main print. LOVE it. Might NEED it.

I think I love every new tote a little more than the previous one! You are getting so good at combining colors & patterns!

For your etsy site, maybe 10 totes would be a good number to start with…that is unless your friends don’t buy you fab bags first!

I would love to buy a tote that could replace my (obvious) diaper bag. Are any of your totes for sale now?

Laurie, thanks so much for the compliments! The bags will be for sale by tomorrow :) I am working on putting the final touches on my Etsy shop today! I would love to sell you a bag. If the bags I have right now are not big enough, I could definitely customize something for you, it would be a great challenge.
