Folklore Galore
I love this Japanese My Folklore pattern by Lecien. I also have it in purple, but I haven’t decided on a use for that yet. Unfortunately, a new job has set me back a little and this bag took me two weekends to finish. Well, not really two whole weekends. Weekends are also being used to catch up on paying bills, playing with the puppy, getting exercise, cooking, shopping, etc. Amazing how time flies. (I think that’s my most overused saying.) I actually finished this bag last weekend, but didn’t get around to adding the new post. I thought I would have additional new items to post about this weekend, but instead we went to Chinatown for the Chinese New Year Celebrations, my work post-holiday party, and then spent today running errands (some for Zhouk Design, some personal items). So here is the My Folklore bag using the Stephanie Tote pattern. This bag includes all the bells and whistles; hidden zipper, keychain, magnetic closure, two interior pockets and a full lining with interfacing for a sturdy bag that holds its shape.
It’s hard to take good daylight photos when I’ve been leaving the house when it’s dark and coming back when it’s dark, so please excuse these photos for the time being. I’ll try to post some better ones next weekend.
Did I mention that I loved Chinese New Year celebrations with Michelle, Daniel and Erik yesterday? We had Dim Sum in the International District and the Lions danced right past our table! Fireworks were going off outside, the drummers were drumming nearby and the festivities really made it feel like we had finally entered a Fresh and Happy New Year. Not to mention, I am now officially addicted to Dim Sum.

a total Asian theme in this post - love it! Of course, I want that new bag, too. I can’t be greedy though! You need inventory for your shop after all.
I’m so glad you guys spent the Lunar/Chinese New Year with us. It was a lot of fun.
We’ll need to do dim sum & then some again soon.

Awesome job with the new bag! I love it, of course!
My fav dim sum place is Jade Garden - the best in Seattle :)

Thanks Laurie! Jade Garden was so packed that day and our tummies were growling, so after 20 min. at Jade Garden we decided to head over to House of Kong, which ended up being greatly entertaining :) I still need to try Jade Garden!
